Cabrillo Festival: 2017 Season

After Marin Alsop’s amazing 25-year leadership, The Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music has an exciting new Music Director & Conductor Cristian Macelaru. The eleven composers in residence for the 2017 season are Karim Al-Zand, Clarice Assad, Gerald Barry, Michael Gandolfi, Jake Heggie, Aaron Jay Kernis, David T. Little, Cindy McTee, Christopher Rountree, Gabriella Smith and James Stephenson. Watch the preview below to see more.

Rhymes With Opera: ADAM'S RUN

Recently featured on the cover of Opera News, Rhymes with Opera (RWO) is a New York-based ensemble of performers and composers specializing in new chamber operas. DC Youth Orchestra: Preparing for Chile Tour

The DC Youth Orchestra Program serves many students and includes multiple ensembles. The top ensemble, the Youth Orchestra, went to Chile in 2016. Many talented staff members, artists, teachers, parents, and students made the tour possible. Watch the trailer for a taste of the program.
